Carragher names players Liverpool and Arsenal could swapSays Alisson and Rice would transform each sideLiverpool host Arsenal on SaturdayWHAT HAPPENED?
Arsenal and Liverpool meet at Anfield on Saturday in a top-of-the-table clash. Arsenal currently sit one point clear of their next opponents at the summit of the Premier League table, but former Liverpool defender Carragher believes a player swap would transform the title race.

Carragher said in his Telegraph column: "If Arsenal had Alisson Becker they would be almost guaranteed a minimum of nine extra points, which would win them the title. If Liverpool had signed Declan Rice last summer, they might already be six points clear of the rest.
"Overall, Arsenal are a year ahead of Liverpool in their development, but the teams are closer than [Jurgen] Klopp could have imagined when playing catch-up at the start of this season."

Arsenal's main weakness this season has been in goal, with neither David Raya nor Aaron Ramsdale convincing between the posts. Liverpool are much improved from last season, but there's no doubt that a midfielder of Rice's calibre would take them to the next level.

Saturday's clash won't decide the title race, but the victor will likely receive an important psychological boost. If the spoils are shared, then Manchester City could take the chance to close the gap on both.
