Liverpool will reportedly have a clear run to sign Barcelona winger Malcom at the end of the season, according to Le10 Sport via TEAMtalk.
What’s the story?
Barcelona won the race to sign Malcom from Bordeaux last summer, with the attacker arriving at Camp Nou on a five-year contract.
The Brazilian netted 23 times and registered 16 assists in 96 appearances for Bordeaux before arriving in Spain for the 2018-19 campaign.
It is not exactly easy to get into the Barcelona XI, but it has been a real struggle for the winger this term, making just seven La Liga appearances.
Malcom has not scored or assisted in the league for Barcelona this term, with Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho both ahead of him in the pecking order.
According to Le10 Sport via TEAMtalk, the interest in Malcom from Chinese Super League clubs Dalian Yifang and Shanghai SIPG has been dropped, leaving Liverpool with effectively a clear run at the attacker.
Should Liverpool move for Malcom?
According to TEAMtalk, Barcelona value Malcom at £50m, which is incredible when considering his struggles at Camp Nou this term.
There is absolutely no question that the South American is a talent, but signing him for £50m would represent poor business.
At 21, Malcom has plenty of time to improve, but he would not go straight into the Liverpool team next season and needs matches at this stage of his career.

Had Liverpool taken him from Bordeaux then it might have been a different story, but the size of Barcelona has almost proved to be too much for him.
Liverpool might well be given a free run at Malcom this summer, but the Reds should be pursuing other options due to the finances that would be involved.
