Dortmund suffered a 2-0 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday, their seventh in 18 Bundesliga matches this season, and pressure is building on Sahin. The ex-midfielder replaced Edin Terzic in the summer but their dismal form leaves him hanging by a thread, with in Germany reporting he will be dismissed if they do not win their next match.

The report says that Ten Hag is one of the top candidates Dortmund could choose to replace Sahin, with the Dutch coach out of work since his November sacking by Manchester United. The 54-year-old has already worked in Germany having coached Bayern Munich II while Pep Guardiola was in charge of the senior team. He then returned to his homeland to coach Utrecht and Ajax before moving on to the Old Trafford job.
