Reported Tottenham Hotspur target scored two more European goals in Red Bull Salzburg’s 3-2 defeat against Napoli to become this season’s Champions League top goalscorer, and Spurs fans were naturally quick to react.

The Daily Star reported earlier this month that the north London outfit are keen on the 19-year-old sensation, who now has six goals to his name in just three appearances in Europe’s elite club competition this term.

He hasn’t just been impressing at that level though, and has been in outstanding form in the Austrian Bundesliga too, netting 11 times in nine top flight outings.

Tottenham could certainly do with a bit of extra competition for Harry Kane up top, with Mauricio Pochettino not having a like-for-like replacement for the England captain available following Fernando Llorente’s departure during the summer.

Loads of Spurs supporters had their say on the 6 foot 4 hitman during and after his most recent showing, and while one said “a strike-force of him and Kane would be scary”, another said “imagine him working with Kane”.

It’s hard to disagree with fans getting excited about a potential link-up with their talisman given his current form, and he looks to be one of the most exciting talents in world football right now.
